Who am I?

Hi, my name is Alyssa and my fitness journey began back in 2016. I had lost a great deal of weight in a very short period of time during my senior year of college in 2015. It took a few tests to determine what was going on with my stomach, but the diagnosis helped me begin my journey to a healthier and happier life.

I would get a lot of stomach aches after eating and decided my diet needed to change... for the better. I had also lost a lot of weight, which in turn caused me to lose a lot of my self-confidence. I was struggling with anxiety for the first time and needed an outlet to help myself feel better and get back to my energetic and upbeat self. This is where fitness and cooking come into play. The gym became a place where I could de-stress and just breathe. Each workout allows me to express my emotions in a way that makes me feel stronger both physically and mentally.

The kitchen allows me to be creative and my confidence is slightly boosted with each successful meal I dare to create. It allows me to escape and forget the worries that my anxiety might be causing that day. I am nowhere near perfect and am working hard each day to better myself constantly. However, I believe that we could all always be working on something or towards something. I use my own personal experiences to help you achieve personal health goals and overall become the best version of yourself through fitness and obtaining a positive lifestyle.
